PRAYING

I was a religious person: attended church, read the bible, and said my prayers.
Always more interested in the outcome rather than the process, I requested, even
demanded, certain conditions: make me more saintly, send money for the rent, give
me better grades, guide me in my career, let me marry the right person, show me
which car to purchase.

For the most part, praying was reserved for when I attended church
and when I had exhausted all I could do to solve a problem.
When I did not get ‘quick’ results, I blamed God.
I saw myself as a victim.

I am no longer a victim of life. I am a co creator in my life.
I pray. I meditate. I act.

I pray for the knowledge of His will for my life and the power to carry that out.

I meditate on the vision of what that would look like.
I act on the idea.

I creatively visualize what I truly want in complimenting my real self. Sometimes I
get it; sometimes I don’t. God is always doing for me what
I cannot or will not do for myself.

My prayer?

SHOW ME THE WAY.

  1. I have found that thieve regarding of prayer and daily life has more to do with slowing down and allowing circumstances to unfold in a way that I can be more responsive rather than reactive
